How to Solve the Small Problems Encountered by the Laser Marking Machine?

3D LASERThe laser marking machine uses a laser beam to make permanent marks on the surface of various materials. The effect of marking is to expose the deep material through the evaporation of the surface material, thereby engraving exquisite patterns, trademarks and text.

Laser marking machines are mainly divided into CO2 laser marking machines, semiconductor laser marking machines, fiber laser marking machines and YAG laser marking machines.

At present, laser marking machines are mainly used in some occasions that require finer and higher precision. Used in electronic components, integrated circuits (IC), electrical appliances, mobile communications, hardware products, tool accessories, precision equipment, glasses and watches, jewelry, auto parts, plastic buttons, building materials, PVC pipes.


What are the common problems of laser marking machine? How to solve it? The common problems and reasons are as follows. HANTENCNC will list the problems one by one and then list the detailed solutions (for reference only).

1.The marking handwriting is blurred and the marking speed is too fast

Solution: The marking speed is too fast, so reduce the speed. The high power density of the laser welding machine is beneficial for material removal processing, such as drilling, cutting, and engraving. For lower power densities, it takes several milliseconds for the surface temperature to reach the boiling point. Before the surface layer vaporizes, the bottom layer reaches the melting point, which makes it easy to form a good fusion weld. The laser spot changes, re-adjust to make the spot the brightest and roundest.

2.Looking through the dimming paper, the laser does not hit the center of the galvanometer, the laser optical system cannot be marked with laser, and the whole process of adjusting the optical path of the machine.

Solution: Adjust the direction of the laser's light output and tighten it. The beam expander should also be clear: the light enters from the center of the incident light, and then it is adjusted to the center of the beam expander to emit light.

3.The marking lines are thick and the marking is weak. 

Maybe the problem: the surface of the workpiece is no longer on the focus plane (also known as the front focal plane)

4.The standard value of the switching power supply voltage of the laser has dropped

Solution: Replace with a new switching power supply, and after normal operation, please increase the laser power (referring to how much work the object does in a unit time), 100% of the light is emitted, and then test (TestMeasure) whether the laser power supply voltage is normal. Please keep it for 5 minutes. If the voltage stays at 30V within 5 minutes, it proves that the switching power supply can be used normally. If it does not work, please replace it with a power supply with a higher power.
